BIOGRAPHY
General director of Éducation internationale since February 2022, Ms. van der Knaap has been working for the Cooperative since 2012. She started out as Project Manager and was promoted to Director of International Development in 2018. During her career at Éducation internationale, through several strategic partnerships, Ms. van der Knaap has had an important role in the growth of the Cooperative’s business and its ability to fulfill its mission. Before arriving at Éducation internationale, she actively contributed to the achievement of project results in the fields of economic development, corporate social responsibility and gender equality within organizations dedicated to international solidarity and social justice. She worked, among others, for SACO-CESO, Oxfam America and Oxfam International in development projects and international cooperation. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from McGill University, and a Master’s degree in International Relations, development concentration, from Laval University. Her professional and personal background brought her to live in Thailand, Honduras, the United-States, South Africa and the United Kingdom.
