STRENGTHENING OF THE EDUCATION MANAGEMENT

The objective of this project was to participate in the capacity building of the municipal directorates of education in 7 departments of the country. In this project, Éducation internationale was the subcontractor of Agriteam Canada and was responsible for the gender equality expertise.

The project allowed the achievement of the following results:

• Development and support to the Gender Commission of the Ministry of Education
• Support in the development of a sector policy on gender equality and of coordination mechanisms ensuring its implementation at both central and regional levels
• Visible and active gender perspective in regulation, education management, information system and development of education programs of the national education system
• Offer diversification and development of accessible processes of awareness-raising, of training and of technical training aiming to master the gender approach—for the staff at both central and decentralized levels, as well as for the teachers in training and the NGO and international organizations of the sector
• Contribution to the elaboration of a coherent and global response to the violence which affects children and adolescents as well as the education community as a whole
