ORIENTATION 1: Increase the international scope of the members
 
This orientation is part of the continuation of orientations 1 and 3 of the first annual plan and specifically targets the positioning on an international level and the expertise of members. This orientation will revolve around the following objectives.

 

Objective 1: Develop and promote various methods and programs whose goals are the sharing of humanistic values and encourage intercultural exchanges through:

  • the pursuit of teacher exchange projects
  • the partnering of member educational establishments with foreign educational establishments
  • increased efforts to recruit foreign students
  • the search for opportunities for cooperation in humanitarian projects.

Objective 2: Promote member participation in linguistic and cultural mobility programs by:

  • facilitating exchanges to have students and teachers learn or improve languages
  • stimulating member participation in student exchange programs on national and international levels (6 months or more)

Objective 3: Promote and export the know-how of the members of Éducation Internationale on the national and international market by:

  • making awarding agencies aware of members’ know-how
  • ensuring the follow up of activities financed by international organizations
  • expanding to new markets (South America)
  • encouraging the sharing of expertise between members to realize international projects.

Objective 4: Represent the members and spread Quebec’s expertise in education and ongoing training on an international level by:

  • participating in trade fairs and other international events
  • receiving foreign delegations
  • carrying out lobbying missions abroad
  • lobbying Quebec, Canadian and international governmental departments and agencies. 

ORIENTATION 2: Consolidate the operations of the Cooperative

 

This orientation results from the realization of the need to equip ourselves with a structure that will enable us to respond to all requirements and challenges to meet expectations in terms of internationalization. It is in continuity with orientation 2 of the 1st strategic plan and revolves around the following objectives.

 

Objective 1: Strengthen member capabilities in terms of development and support them in their international activities through:

  • the development of tools to support school board activities on an international level
  • training adapted to member needs
  • the realization of partnerships between members
  • a regular follow up with members.

Objective 2: Strengthen the sense of belonging and internal collaboration by:

  • improving communications with and between members
  • increasing member involvement in projects.

Objective 3: Strengthen the capacities of Éducation Internationale by:

  • expanding human resources
  • developing financial strategies

Objective 4: Prepare a succession plan for Éducation Internationale

  • see to the hiring of personnel
  • see to the upgrading of the hired personnel
